Let's Play: Drunk or iPad Auto-Correct!

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

Ready kids?  Let's read the post I was drafting up last Tuesday, and decide: was I drunk, or was I typing on my iPad?!

So, there's this dude.NAND he's pretty much a dick. I mean,hd just is. He kind of own it. He knows he can be an asshole, and he's pretty sgstight forward about it.
Well, we were at dinner today. And he pulled out mychair for me, and then he made sure I had all my portions of food and served,r and then gave ,r a ride back to my car and even unlocked and opened my door for me at his car and was incredibly awesome while we were bowling...
Ugh,
It'd just easier when they stay Fichte.

So, what say you, readers?  Drunk?  Too many shots?  Did I down one too many beers at bowling that night?  Or was I simply sleepy, using my iPad since it was easier to boot up than my laptop at the time and this was the result of trying to type on it rather than use my stylus?

Lock in your answers...Drunk or iPad?!

Drumroll please.

I think it's fairly obvious that it's my iPad.  What the SHIT is up with Apple Auto-correct, man?!  I'd always heard of it (and there's even a hilarious site dedicated to all the autocorrect fuck ups) and even had a bit of it on my iPod Touch...but seriously?!  Who the hell programmed it? Because yes, what I was typing was most definitely "Fichte."

That paragraph is terrible. It looks like I'm just a terrible typist, but auto-correct actually changed things to those words.  "Straight" somehow morphed into "sgstight", AND turned into NAND...the only thing I concede is ",r" (meant to be "me") because my fingers were just fat.  And then autocorrect didn't even have the decency to fix a missed space bar stroke...ridiculous.

Although...I am intrigued what would happen if I typed on my iPad while drunk.  Maybe it would come out perfectly.

Filling in the Blanks from Denver!

Friday, March 4, 2011

1.   The phrase or punctuation I overuse most is a dash - I never used to use it but ever since I started working at my current company, everyone there uses it and the habit has rubbed off on me. As for the phrase, I say "it/he/she is ridiculous!" far too often. I can't help it that people I know are so crazy!

2.  Today I am thankful for safely arriving in Denver, Colorado; wonderful relatives who let me and my brother invade their space for 4 days, and my brother.

3.  My best friend is someone I miss. I wish she lived closer to me.

4.  A quirky thing about me is that if I pick up a burger or burrito, I won't put it down again - not to pick up my phone, not to dip fries or tear ketchup packets. It makes me sound fat, but its because i don't like the feeling of picking them up so I refuse to do it more than once.

5.  This weekend I am exploring all of Denver! Checking out a few universities and going out to Boulder and trying to cram everything into 3 short days.

6.  Something that worries me is if I'll ever be happy with a job/career. I'd like to think I eventually will be, but my track record isn't so hot.

7.  On my night stand you would find a baby lamp that has animals printed on it and a stuffed animal bear at the base that my family has had since before I was born; tons of pens and pencils; three journals/notebooks; the remote controls for my DVD player, tv, and iHome stereo; my alarm clock, bowling trophy, tarot deck, and ceramic dish I made when I was 10; and all 12 library books I currently have checked out. Yeah, it's incredibly messy and packed full of stuff.

About Me

My photo
I'm fairly obsessed with penguins, Peanuts (the comic), and the TV show Friends. Parentheses may or may not be (over)used in this blog, and books will pretty much be the only thing I ever talk about because they are my One True Love.
